About Sun Temple:
This
Temple is dedicated to Lord Sun. This Sun Temple | Surya Mandir | is very famous
and lots of people come here for darshan. The devotees come from all over
India.
Location of Sun Temple:
This
sun temple is located at Borsad in district of Anand, Gujarat state,
India.
It
is on Vasad – Tarapur Road. The road number is SH-06.

The
distance from the Vadodara is around 40 Kms, and from Ahemadabad, it is 90 Kms.
History of Sun Temple:
This
temple has a unique real story. In year 1972, a five month kid (named Kalpesh) spoke
to build a Sun temple. His parents were surprised by this. They did not believe
it that a small kid can speak. After sometime, the “kumkum” appeared on small
kid’s hand.

God appeared and
gave “Darshan” to his parents. There after kumkum automatically got disappeared.
God inspired
Ambalal M. Patel and Haribhai Shantilal Patel of Borsad to donate land for Sun
Temple. Architect Narendra Patel designed Sun Temple.
It was
registered as a public trust in 1977 at Nadidad. The Suryanarayan
Sevashram Trust Fund Corporation provides meal and residence to the devotees.
Details of Sun Temple:
In
the front of the temple, you can see the lord Sun is riding on seven horses.
The temple is huge and the central hall is very well decorated.

This temple is
121 feet high on a pinnacle of the temple.
Within the large
hall of the temple, Sun huge idol of Lord established the sanctuary, around the
radhakrsna, ramasita, Laxman, Shiva and Parvati idol.
The idol of the
Lord Swaminarayan, gunatitananda lord, Lord Buddha, Lord Dattatreya, Lord
Viswakarma, Mahavir Swami, Mahalakshmi mata, Mahakali Mata, Saraswati Mata,
Ambaji Mata, Umiya mata, Gayatri Mata, khodiyara maa, suryesvara nature Mahadev
can be seen.
The
temple has huge space for parking.
Large
number of people from this part of Gujarat has resided in USA. So when they
visit their native place, they definitely come to this temple to pray to Lord
Sun.

You can visit the temple anytime as this place is worship place and their no fix time to go for visit.
Transportation:
The
temple can be reached both by road and rail. The distance from the Vadodara is
around 40 Kms, and from Ahemadabad, it is 90 Kms.

Nearest railway
station is anand junction & daily trains also available.
Nearest airport
is vadodara.

Hotels are available
in Anand as well as Vadodara.
